The department of economics organised a departmental seminar on the topic "Population Explosion in Assam: Its Causes and Remedies" on 07-09-2017. The programme was inagurated by Dr. Hiranya Kumar Sarma, Principal, Suren Das College, Hajo. The programme was chaired by Dr. Meena Kumari Devi, HOD, Dept. of Economics. Mr. Mukut Ahmed Coudhury and Miss Barnali Thakuria, the faculty memebers of the department were the resource person of the programme.
