A 20-member team from sixth-semester major under the guidance of Dr. Ramen Medhi and Dr. Arup Deka from the Department of Political Science and Dr. Parul Das of Department of Education visited Namphake village in the month of October 2016. This visit was made as part of educational activities to enhance the knowledge of the students. The students and the teachers visited the village and met the inhabitants of the village and interacted with them. They also made a visit to the famous Buddhist Monastery in the village.
The students were academically benefitted by observing the unique lifestyle of the inhabitants of Namphake. The students came to know about the diversity of culture and traditions of the Tai Phake population. The traditional way of life right from their traditional attire to traditional food attracted the students and the teachers as well.
