Activities Carried out / Detail Description of the Programme

An educational visit to the Assam Secretariat, Dispur was made in 25^th September 2017. A total number of 25 students visited the secretariat. The tour was guided by Dr. Ripima Bujarbaruah, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science and Dr. Arup Kumar Deka, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Suren Das College Hajo. The objective of this educational tour was to make the students aware about the working of the political system in Assam. During the visit, the students got an opportunity to meet the ministers and the MLAs of Assam government and to interact with them. At the same time, the team made a visit to the library of the Assam Secretariat which will definitely enhance the knowledge and awareness of the students.

Thus, this visit will definitely benefit the students academically.
