A study on the socio-political scenario of the Ukiam village was conducted by the 2^nd,4^th, and 6^th semester (honors) students of the Department of Political Science on 27^th January 2018, under the supervision of the faculties of the Department. The study provides a social and political scenario of the village, where we find that people are very conscious about their culture, tradition, as well as about their livelihoods. Political awareness among villagers is very high. Both male and female members of the village participate in the political processes equally.
