The department of Folklore Suren Das College Hajo, organised a vocational Training Certificate course on Agriculture Nursery Workers for 20 number of selected students in collaboration with Jan Sikshan Sansthan Kamrup under Ministry of Skill Development Govt of India. This training was held from 3rd November 2020 to 3rd March 2021. At the inaguration of the program the resource person Mr. Sabin Das gave the lecture on the importance of such a vocational course for students.  In his lecture he mentioned the activities of branches of Jan Sikshan Santha of Assam and the kamrup branch . The students were offered with a certificate after the completion of the course. The program was for four months.The principal of the college Dr. Hiranya Kumar Sarma, was present at the program. He delivered the welcome address. Ms. Monmi Kakati, head of the department Folklore, gave the significant of the workshop.
