Major Objectives

The main objective behind the celebration of National Mathematics Day is to spread awareness about the importance of mathematics among the pupils as well as the mass as a whole and to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions towards mathematics.

The National Mathematics Day organized by Suren Das College, Hajo and Aryabhatta Science Centre, Hajo on 22nd December is effectively completed.This will definitely increase the interest in Mathematics and science which is essentially required for scientific development of the country.

On the occasion, a day long programme was held with great enthusiasm. In the morning session, a Science and Mathematical Modeling competition was held among the school children participated from different schools of the locality. In the afternoon session, a prize distribution ceremony was held.
