Activities Carried out / Detail Description of the Programme

The department organised a competition with the title ‘Plant a tree’ on the occasion of World Environment Day (5th June, 2021) with a mass-plantation objective. Students from various colleges actively participated in the event, where they had to plant a sapling, click a selfie with it and send it to us along with a short write-up. The event was jointly organised by department of Botany and Green Campus Cell of Suren Das College, Hajo.

Rejaul Hussain and Manabendra Das of Suren Das College, Hajo, secured the first and second positions respectively, whereas Jaher Ali of Baosi Banikanta Kakoti College, Nagaon, secured the third prize.
