The Extension Cell of Suren Das College, Hajo organised an Environmental Awareness meeting on 19/06/2019 at Manikut High School, Hajo. The meeting was presided over by Sri Naba Kumar Das, Head master of the School. The Welcome address was delivered by Dr. mina Kumari Devi, Co-ordinator of the Cell. Dr. Binita Das of the Education department and Dr. Ranju Thakuria of the assamese Department of the College delivered speech on the importance of environment. A lively interaction session was also organised with the students.

On the same day, an essay competition on the topic "nature Environment and our Duty" was held among the students of the school. Prizes were distributed among the winners. The Vote of thanks was offered by mrs. Sabita Kalita, Asst. Prof in Philosophy of Suren Das College.
