Orientation Session on IIC 5.0 was announced as a part of the IIC program on 11th of January, 2023 in a virtual mode. The aim of the virtual orientation workshop on IIC 5.0 was to familiarize participants with the characteristics of IIC 5.0 as well as give an overview of the major activities of the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) and Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC). The purpose of the event was to motivate and inspire the attendees to engage in innovative and entrepreneurial activities. All interested IIC council members, innovation ambassadors, students, and teaching/non-teaching staff members were welcome to attend the virtual orientation session on IIC 5.0. The goal of the event was to teach participants about the tools and resources offered on the IIC platform and how to use them to assist creative initiatives and ideas. The numerous activity levels and associated weightage were shown to the participants throughout the session. These activity levels are intended to support and encourage students' and faculty members' initiatives to foster entrepreneurship and innovation within their respective institutions. IIC 5.0's activities levels are divided into four levels. Each level has a unique set of requirements. Every action has a corresponding weight, and together these weights and the final score establish the participant's activity level. Overall, the virtual orientation session on IIC 5.0 gave the IIC members a great chance to learn about the most recent advancements in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship and to connect with others who share their passion for using innovation to create positive change. With the introduction of activity levels and weighting in IIC 5.0, there is now a formalized method for promoting and rewarding creativity and entrepreneurship among faculty members and students.
