Activities Carried out / Detail Description of the Programme

1.     On the 12^th of August 2022 the NSS Unit of Suren Das College, Hajo held aTricolor distribution and awareness Campaign among 30 nos. of households at Hajo Kaibartatola (Which is an adopted Village of Suren Das College, Hajo). An awareness Campaign was also held at Hajo Kaibartatola V.P.LPS.The faculty, students, and community people were present in the ''Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Har Ghar Tiranga 'awareness program.

 

2.     The Prabhat Pheri program was held on the 13^thof August from 5.30 am. The faculty, students, non-teaching staff, and a few community people were present in the program. The Prabhat Pheri procession was started from the college premises for 3 kms viaHayagriv Madhab Mandir and Natun Bazar. After the procession, the flag hoisting ceremony was conducted by Dr. Hiranya Kr Sarma, Principal of the college at 7.50 am. A quiz competition was held among the students from 11 am at the college auditorium which is conducted by Dr. Ramen Medhi, Associate professor, and Mr. Rahul Kemprai, Assistant professor of the college, altogether 27 nos. of students participated in the quiz competition in 9 groups consisting of 3 nos. of students in each group and prizes were distributed to the 1^st,2^nd and 3^rd position holders. The event was attended by all the faculties, non-teaching staff, and students of the college.

 

3.     On the 14^th of August, 2022; the National flag was hoisted by Mr. Champak Choudhury, UDA of the College at 8. am.

 

4.     In connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav the college fraternity under the initiative of the NSS Unit of the college celebrated the 76^th Independence Day of our country on the 15th, of August 2022; the National flag was hoisted by Dr. Hiranya Kr. Sarma, Principal of the college at 7.55 am. The event was attended by all the faculties, non-teaching staff, and students of the college. Afterward, a friendly cricket match was played between the students and faculties.
