Mentoring Cell

Mentoring Cell of Suren Das College, Hajo is established to extent the support and guidance to the students for the improvement of the academic as well as professional career so that they can contribute towards society. The students of our institution basically come from remote areas with poor economic conditions. Hence, they may face various challenges in their academic, social and emotional status. Thus, to overcome these challenges, the cell is providing counselling and guidance through personal care and attention. A group of 15-20 students are assigned to a teacher (Mentor) who counsel the respective students once in a week and assist them in their academics and all-round development.

Objectives of mentoring Cell

1. To provide support and guidance on teaching and future career opportunities.

2. To help the students aware of the needs of curriculum, their potentials and interest and motivate them to develop the active participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities

3. To address various psychological issues of the mentees and take remedial measures on time.

4. To improve the relationship between teachers and their students and make the teaching learning process more effective.
