VISION:
Suren Das College, Hajo is dedicated to upholding the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst our students and faculties. Our institution envisions an educational system having proper balance and interaction between industry and academia. The institution commits itself to streamlining and strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus by creating a sense of balance for sustaining excellence in innovation as well as in academics. The college also assures external participation and exposure by promoting inter-institutional partnerships and involvement of different stakeholders and regional and national levels. The present policy is a way forward for encouraging the establishment of start-ups and entrepreneurship opportunities for students and faculties, with an aim to promote self-dependent human resources.
MISSION:
- To create structures and mechanisms in order to build and promote skilled technical human resources, capable of carrying out high-quality research and innovation and successful entrepreneurship.
- To create an ‘Innovation fund’ for supporting innovative projects and Start-ups.
- To provide aid in developing entrepreneurial ideas and their successful implementation, managing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) ownership, technology licensing, and equity sharing in Start-ups or enterprises established by faculty and students.
- To involve skilled external experts in terms of innovation, start-ups, and IPR ownership laws, and developing a comprehensive institutional policy, thus enabling the creation of robust innovation and Start-up ecosystem in the institution.
- To provide help in entrepreneurship ideas and ways to convert them into a financially successful business.
