Geography

Introduction

The Geography Department of Suren Das College, Hajo was establishment on 1st August, 2000 offernig general course in degree level. In 2003, the subject Geography was introduced in HS level. However , the department was not able to introduce  Geography as a major course at degree level till 2011 due to the lack of practical equipments,faculty members etc. Moreover , w.e.f. 2011-'12 session. major course was also added to this department to cope up with the demands of the students and guardians.

Vision 

Making Geography a pursuit of people  in matters of academic practice and application for the mass in practical situation.

1) To aware people about the practical utility of Geography as an earth science throug seminars, workshop, webinars etc.

2) To acquaint the people with the Geographical tools ,maps etc. and thereof raising their competence to utilize kwoledge gained thereby.
